Knappenwand is a world famous mineral locality for fine Epidote-Byssolite and this is an attractive specimen. It displays translucent to translating Calcite crystals decorated with dense cluster of fibrous hair like Byssolite needles and Epidote crystals. The Byssolite has green color and it is very sparkling. The Epidotes have dark olive-green color and strong luster. The Calcite crystals are very well shaped and complete all over.
