Adorable Legrandite crystals from the  type locality for the species - Flor de Pena Mine, Mexico. It comes from the collection of Sandro Maggia, Italy with a label giving the locality as Ojuela mine. Regarding the matrix and the crystal habit the specimen is almost certainly from Flor de Pena Mine.  The Legrandite grows on a dark base which underlines it nicely. The crystals are up to 5mm and they have pleasing canary-yellow color, and good luster. Legrandite is one of the most desirable rare minerals from Mexico. Some small damages. On acrylic base.

Delightful!
