Fascinating small jewel of Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian with black Chromite inclusions from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals are gem and clear up to 1mm. They have deep and saturated grass-green color due to Chromium. The Garnets are with sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. Some minor inclusions of black Chromite are seen too. Apple-green Diopside crystals grow around and add a nice accent. Fine thumbnail from this closed mine. Displays on both sides. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.

Killer gem-green Garnets!
