Killer morphology for this Chalcopyrite-Sphalerite combo on Quartz base from the famous Madan ore field, Bulgaria. It displays black Sphalerite tetrahedrons growing atop Quartz crystals. The Sphalerites are very well isolated and sharp with surface striations, and good luster. Well isolated yellow Chalcopyrite crystals decorate the Sphalerite making excellent formations of mutual intergrowth and penetration – really amazing. Some Quartz crystals are doubly terminated. This is an attractive display specimen with superb focal points. In excellent condition – some small nicks.
