Fantastic gem Garnet var. Grossular crystals with grass green phantoms, Diopside and Apophyllite from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Grossular crystals are gem up to 2mm. They have attractive green cores due to Chromium. The crystals have sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and good luster. Small Diopside needles cover the base. Some colorless Apophyllite crystals are seen at the base. The Apophyllite is rarely seen with Grossular. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
