Splendid specimen of sharp Garnet var. Andradite crystals on Hedenbergite from Serifos Island, Greece. Displays dodecahedral Andradite crystals to 6mm nested on green Hedenbergite. The Garnets have pleasing red-brown color, very well crystallized, with sharp edges and waxy luster. They are slightly translucent. The Hedenbergite forms elongated columns. In superb condition – one minor nick. On acrylic base.
