Elegant specimen of colorful Ajoite pseudomorph after Azurite, after Malachite. These specimens were initially identified as Chrysocolla, but recently analyzed by University of Arizona as Ajoite. The specimen displays tender turquoise blue pseudomorph after what were Azurite crystals pseudomorphed to Malachite and after to Ajoite. In the core of the main crystal is seen green Malachite. The blades are partially covered with small needles of Ajoite. This is probably a double or triple pseudomorph. Some small green Malachite crystals grow above. In good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.

Pleasing pseudomorph!
