Fabulous gem orange colored Grossular Garnet crystallized on both sides around dark host base. The crystals are up to 12mm big. They are transparent, gem quality with superb luster and pleasing color. Trapezohedral habit with sharp crystallization on 360 degree. All crystals have nice striations characteristic for Jeffrey mine. With such gemminess, strong luster and pleasing color it is a fine Garnet from this great and closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some micro nicks and outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
