Perfect orange colored Grossular Garnets to 5mm. They are transparent and gem with a superb luster and rich color. The color is a bit different from the regular orange garnets from Jeffrey mine. Grossulars have rhombohedral habit with sharp crystallization. Very small green Diopside crystals grow on the base. Pleasing specimen from this closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
