Knappenwand is a world famous mineral locality for fine Epidote-Byssolite and this is a nice Byssolite specimen. Very delicate clusters of dense, fibrous hair like Byssolite needles cover the base. Byssolite has rich dark green color and it is very sparkling. Very small Epidote crystals and white Albite add a nice detail. For references The Mineralogical Record, vol. 17, pp 167-181.
